Financial Management Policies with ‘Diakonia’

Diakonia – Lebanon organized a series of Capacity Building workshops which were intended to enhance the technical and managerial skills of their local partners on various issues related to ‘Financial Management Policies and Procedures.’

Secretary General of the Lebanese Development Network (LDN), trainer Samer Aoun, conducted the workshops which were divided into three phases as follows: 1) assessing the partners’ needs; 2) designing and providing finance and administration trainings; and 3) assisting organizations through private coaching sessions.

A wide list of topics has been discussed during which participants had the chance not only to get acquainted to, but also to acquire the ability to adjust their work accordingly. Several modern techniques have been provided pertaining to Budgeting, Financial Reporting, Cost Analysis, Audit Policies, Procurement Procedures, Accountability Requirements and many others.

The participating organizations were: Dar Al Amal, Lebanese Association for Democratic Elections (LADE), Lebanese Foundation for Permanent Civil Peace, Caritas Liban, Community Based Rehabilitation, Lebanon Eco Movement, Arcenciel, Lebanese Physical Handicapped Union, Arab NGO Network for Development, Lebanon Support, Development Action without Borders, Lebanese Observatory for Workers & Employees’ Rights, Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering, Permanent Peace Movement and Najdeh Association.
