‘Anger Management’ Workshop with SOS

In collaboration with the ‘Lebanese Development Network,’ SOS Village - Lebanon organized a special training workshop on ‘Anger Management & Aggression Control.’

A group of SOS mothers attended the seminar which took place at the organization’s headquarter in Beirut.

Education Specialist and Trainer Dr. Ahmad Oueini conducted the seminars which included a wide range of topics such as: The Nature of Anger, the Cognitive, Behavioral and Environmental Triggers, the Emotional Buttons and Vocabulary, as well as the S.O.L.V.E techniques.

The course aims at equipping participants with the basic skills to deal with anger, identify its triggers, and find more adaptive ways of coping with it from changing one’s thinking about the situation to using a systematic problem-solving approach vis-à-vis the aggravating situations.

The Lebanese Association of SOS Children's Villages was founded in Lebanon in 1964. The first SOS Children's Village was founded by Hermann Gmeiner in Imst, Austria, in 1949, in the aftermath of the Second World War.

Today, under the leadership of Helmut Kutin, there are SOS Children's Villages in all five continents with 444 Villages spread out in 132 countries.
