Other Details: Please let me share this with you, in case you are interested, I deal with waste management issues although not under extreme way but it is under pressure and many things we do, we do them under various types of pressure. The only problem I got is that I would need some funding if that's possible, in order to travel and support myself in Beirut and surroundings, unfortunately I have absolutely no sponsorship. That's my statuts, sorry for that. Not sure if you would need my assistance but thought to share this with you, nevertheless. It constitutes a case of immediate action to take. Of course, I will work for that money if that's acceptable for you, guess I can be involved in several activities together with the experts already on board in Beirut (if any), and possibly others to come and the local ones. I read news about the Port of Beirut and neighboring areas. No need to stay off. Especially on the landfills which I understand that they pose serious trouble being already overloaded. I guess that there might be an additional need for more land to storing/sorting the C&D waste (like I said in addition to the plots already allocated in the harbor), even if temporarily hoping that they contain no hazardous components due to the blast, and guess they are not - which might ease the overall operations, leaving with the only concern of transportation and storing. I also expect that collecting and sorting other waste to be quite a job since a significant proportion of regular waste (municipal solid or biodegradable, packaging waste) is totally mixed up. Need for a careful and hard-working sorting (glass). Safety outfits would be also needed. I can't have the big picture unless taken from the internet but it's more urgent and serious in reality, as usual. Planning is very important, as well as land for temporary storage, construction/transportation equipment (heavy trucks, loaders, excavators) sizing the huge amounts of waste and debris, so I would say that a larger team would better fit into helping and removal of all blasted matters, clear up lands and many. So much for now, better send this and see what's possible and what's not. It should be regarded as a great initiative taken to help the Port of Beirut/Beirut City, and the surrounding devastated areas to recover ASAP, step by step, especially under the given pandemics.
