Interview with Youth Leaders about the No Hate Speech Movement in Ireland

Emmanuel Samuel and Kelvin Akpaloo, two facilitators of the EYF-supported pilot activity “Youth Ambassadors Training Course #SolidActivists", explain how important the No Hate Speech Movement was for Ireland.

It is one of the “few countries in Europe that does not have a hate speech legislation”, says Emmanuel Samuel, who “experiences hate speech in his daily life”. Kelvin Akpaloo is convinced that the creativity of young people participating in this activity can create change. Both youth leaders hope that the creation of a strong team of no hate speech fighters in Ireland will definitely contribute to increase the impact of the no hate speech movement.
