Souad Amine - LOYAC Board Member

Souad Amine is a Board Member of LOYAC, a Kuwaiti-based nonprofit organization with chapters in Lebanon, Jordan and Yemen, working towards the overall development of the youth (ages 6-30).

Souad is also the Founder of Threads of Belonging, a unique brand of hand-embroidered, traditionally-made, modern garments, empowering underprivileged women in Palestinian camps in Southern Lebanon, who are creatively embroidering privately commissioned avant-garde, fashion pieces.

Her genuine desire to make a difference forced her to rethink the system and in the process she created a stellar ethical fashion brand, adorning traditional Palestinian embroidery, collaborating with a number of local Lebanese designers such as Rayya Morcos and Nour Hage.

Starting off with a degree in Agriculture and then a MS in Nutrition from AUB, Souad later satiated her curiosity for art with a Fine Arts degree from the Lebanese American University in Beirut, and after that - fashion design at Esmode.
