The Age of Graffiti Art at MACAM

The Modern and Contemporary Art Museum (MACAM) celebrates the 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by announcing the creation of a WALL OF CONTEMPLATION.

The wall consists of twelve murals, 5x4m each, based on Human Rights by Lebanese and international graffiti artists.

A professional jury will select twelve proposals that will be executed during the year 2019 that will be designated The Age of Graffiti at MACAM. This year program will be announced in a reception on Saturday, December 8 at 3pm at MACAM.

MACAM was founded in 2012 whereas the location was received as a donation.

Later on, the society received a library collection of more than one thousand books and catalogues about art in Lebanon. This library is the RectoVerso library in Monot Street in Beirut, well known as a reference library by artists and art lovers.
