BRS is a family established in Beirut, Lebanon. Just like its name implies, BRS is a home and a refuge from social cruelties. Its main role lies in reducing and preventing the harm of drugs while trying to give our community a clear and clean ground to live on and to love life with all its natural beauties. Inspired by the touching story of Bashir - a 24 year old Lebanese guy drawn into drugs for 11 years – BRS bears his initials and is made up of a group of believers in Bashir who have decided to co-found the association with him, and who will carry his mission to the world. Together with the invaluable support of partners, advisors, ex-addicts and volunteers, we work to build links between drug users and harm minimization services (pre-rehab support) and our programs help members reintegrate back into society (post-rehab support). We don't judge, we don't preach, we speak the language of the community we are targeting; we respect our members - their norms, beliefs and privacy. We know that our mission is never-ending and not easy, but we will give hope, spread a smile, and never give up.
