The Beirut Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, and Cedars Pavilion, in cooperation with the Larnaka Chamber of Commerce, held a press conference dedicated to launch the "Cyprus-Arab Business Conference and Exhibition 2020" which will take place between April 23 and 25, 2020 in Larnaka City under the auspices of the Cypriot President Nikos Anastasiades.

The event was attended by the Vice President of the Beirut Chamber Dr. Nabil Fahed, Mayor of Larnaca Andreas Veras, CEO of Cedars Pavilion Dr. George Moufarrej, the President of the Lebanese Development - Network (LDN) Amin Nehmeh, in addition to representatives from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Larnaca, and a number of Lebanese and Cypriot businessmen.

Dr. Fahed inaugurated the event by calling Lebanese businessmen to "view Cyprus as a promising market for Lebanese products and industries and a strategic gateway to European markets."

In turn, Dr. Moufarrej thanked the Mayor of Larnaca "for the support and assistance that makes the Lebanese there feel at home." He also hoped that the Conference will witness a remarkable and active participation from the Lebanese business community in order to enhance the exchange process with Cyprus in all available fields.

In his speech, Vyras stressed that "the Lebanese community in Larnaca in particular, and in Cyprus in general, is an important component of the Cypriot society." He explained as well about "the reason for Larnaca to hold this conference while becoming a center of attraction for Arab investments in various fields such as industry, tourism and agriculture, in addition that my government attaches great importance to infrastructure development projects and facilities construction.”

In conclusion, Nehme presented the program of the conference and indicated the set of activities that will be organized on the sidelines of the event.
