Between March 14 and March 21, 2022 partners of MYSEA - Mediterranean Youth, NEETs and women advancing Skills, Employment and Awareness in the blue and green economy met virtually for the project’s Technical Meeting with the participation of the representatives of the Joint Technical Secretariat (JTS): Dua’a Qurie, Alessandro Zedda and Joumana Sweiss.

The meeting which gathered the Transnational Project Management Unit (TPMU), the Financial Board, the Cross Border Steering Committee and the Associated Partners constitutes an opportunity for the consortium members to reflect on the activities implemented during the previous period and to discuss future ones.

CIES Representative and Monitoring Expert Senior Loredana Gionne inaugurated the meeting followed by a presentation delivered by Valentina Clementelli, CIES Project Manager Senior.

The agenda comprised a series of topics such as First Year Achievements, the Second Year Work Plan, the Financial Plan, the Interim Report as well as a complete revision of the Work Packages.

The meeting concluded with the voting and approval of the points raised in addition to some general remarks provided by the partners.

MYSEA - Mediterranean Youth, NEETs and women advancing Skills, Employment and Awareness in the blue and green economy project aims at increasing the employability of youth, women and NEETs in the agri-food and waste management industries by developing training oriented to both sectors and strengthening local governance and sector-skills alliances between economic actors and TVET institutions to align the education curricula with sector’s needs.

It responds to youth unemployment by transforming borders into a possibility for cooperation and development. It brings 6 partners to identify and address common challenges and opportunities. Partners across borders exchange knowledge, good practices and experiences, and foster commitment and ownership of project results and impacts.
