Mariana Ramadan and Nour Safieddine are the two candidates selected among hundreds of applicants to represent LDN at ‘Move It’ project, the Youth Workers Exchange Program.

‘Move It’ took place between April 9 and April 15, 2018 in Valencia, Spain and organized by the Spanish NGO Jovesolides. It aims at “Promoting a Participatory Approach among Young People, and Enhancing Political and Social Impact of the Entrepreneurship Concept.”

The program gathered a group of partnering organizations from eight different countries from Europe and the Mediterranean as follows: Demostene (Italy), STING for Consultancy & Design (Egypt), The Lebanese Development Network - LDN (Lebanon), Fundacja Autokreacja (Poland), Dokuz Eylul Universitesi (Turkey), Santa Casa MIsericordia (Portugal), National Management School (Bulgaria), in addition to the lead partner Jovesolides (Spain).

Through their participation, Ramadan and Safieddine had the chance to broaden their experience and widen their exposure vis-à-vis the various aspects of the project.

The major objectives of the project are to: 1) Encourage the Spirit of Change; 2) Share and Promote Social Entrepreneurship; 3) Facilitate a Methodology of Political and Social Incidence; 4) Generate Concrete Proposals Linked to the Promotion of Social Entrepreneurship; 5) Strengthen the Skills of European Youth and Neighboring Countries' Workers Through the Use of Social Networks.

Erasmus+ is the EU Program operating in the fields of education, training, youth and sport for the period 2014-2020. It is designed to support the countries' efforts to efficiently use the potential of Europe’s talent and social assets in a lifelong learning perspective, linking support to formal, non-formal and informal learning throughout the education, training and youth fields.

It also enhances the opportunities for cooperation and mobility with Partner Countries, notably in the fields of higher education and youth.
