The Lebanese Development Network (LDN) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Center of Arab Women for Training and Research (CAWTAR), Tunisia.

The President of LDN Amin Nehme and the Executive Director of CAWTAR Dr. Soukeina Bouraoui signed the agreement which took place on the sidelines of the EBSOMED Academy on “Strategic Planning for Business Support Organizations (BSOs)” held in Beirut.

The MoU intends to formalize the mutual interaction and strengthen the existing relationship between both organizations at the strategic and working levels.

It focuses on developing further cooperation in terms of Woman Empowerment projects, promoting Gender Equality and reducing Gender Gaps as a means to achieving sustainable development in the Arab region. It emphasizes as well the mutual collaboration in support of the various civil society actors and BSOs in the MENA region.

The Lebanese Development Network (LDN) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to assist individuals, groups and institutions develop their capacities by raising awareness and enhancing technical skills so they can improve their potentials, advance their progress and ensure their growth.

CAWTAR Mission is to contribute to empowering Arab women to fully exercise their human rights. CAWTAR aims at doing this by generating knowledge in order to produce accumulated evidence to enhance the capacity of Arab institutions in promoting and advocating for gender equality and the promotion of women to decision-making positions.
