In the framework of the EU-funded project EBSOMED (Enhancing Business Support Organisations and Business Networks in the Southern Neighbourhood), with the support of BUSINESSMED (Union of Mediterranean Confederations of Enterprises) and CAWTAR (The Center of Arab Women for Training and Research), the Lebanese Development Network (LDN) entered into a new partnership with the Tunisian Development Network (Tamk-in).

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) took place at the Lac area of the Tunisian capital. It was respectively signed by the president of LDN Amin Nehme and the president of Tamk-in Ines Nasri with the presence of the LDN’s Secretary General Samer Aoun, Tamk-In’s Executive Director Bourhen Haggui accompanied by the members of the Executive Office.

The agreement aims at joining forces between the two parties in the fields of Social Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Social Regeneration.

It seeks as well the enhancement of exchange of experiences for the implementation of vital projects pertaining to capacity building, training, economic growth and citizen empowerment in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In his speech, Nehme stressed the strategic importance of this partnership in leveraging the respective strengths of LDN and Tamk-in to create compelling value not only for both countries, but also for the Arab region as a whole.

In turn, Nasri emphasized her confidence in this joint action given the effective role of this project in creating new and favorable opportunities to all stakeholders.

This partnership strategically aligns both organizations for the long-term by combining their potentials to efficiently expand their mutual services in the region.
