The Arab Foundations Forum (AFF) organized in collaboration with the Lebanese Development Network (LDN) a regional two-day training workshop on ‘Public Speaking & Presentation Skills’ at Rotana Aarjan Hotel – Beirut.
Delegates from prominent Lebanese and Arab organizations participated in the seminar.
A wide range of topics with vivid approaches and exercises were covered such as: The Art of Communication and the Elements of Persuasion, Public Speaking Techniques, the Body Language in addition to the Presentation Skills.
LDN's President Amin Nehme conducted the workshop which was intended to enhance the capabilities of the participants, and to equip them with more proficiency on how to improve their communications skills and interact successfully in the different circumstances encountered.
The course provided hands-on experience in the preparation and delivery of speeches within a public setting or even a group discussion.
The participants were exposed to the basic presentation techniques about how to plan and structure an effective presentation; create an informative and persuasive framework; develop ideas and efficient delivery methods; and finally overcome anxiety, fear and nervousness.
The workshop concluded with short simulations where the attendees received feedback on their current style as well as ideas on how to enhance their future deliveries.
