In the context of enhancing the economic empowerment and financial education of women and girls in the Arab region, the Center of Arab Women for Training and Research (CAWTAR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the League of Arab States.

The Agreement was respectively signed by the Executive Director of CAWTAR, Dr. Sakina Bouraoui, and Ambassador Dr. Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, Assistant Secretary-General for Social Affairs at the League of Arab States.

The signing ceremony took place in the Tunisian capital, Tunis.

The agreement emphasized the close collaboration between both entities to achieve their common goals in the fields of research, training and advocacy.

It seeks as well the advancement of gender equality, the enhancement of women’s empowerment, and the improvement of social inclusion.
