On September 8, 2023, InnovAgroWoMed project partners got together in Tunisia for the final event organized by The Center of Arab Women for Training and Research – CAWTAR.

The conference was inaugurated by Mrs. Amel Belhaj Moussa, Tunisian Minister for the Family, Women, Children and the Elderly, and attended by more than 100 renowned organizations and stakeholders in social inclusion, agri-food, social and solidarity economy and development.

The meeting constituted an opportunity to showcase the achievements of this three-year project which has empowered around 122 rural women by providing them with more than 610 hours of training and coaching sessions.

Testimonials from beneficiaries were presented during the event followed by a special exhibition of their products.

InnovAgroWoMed project aims at boosting women labor participation and entrepreneurship, by leveraging on the potential of the agri-food sector - an industry closely linked to the cultural identity of the Mediterranean region.

The consortium is formed of the University of Rome Tor Vergata (Italy), CESIE (Italy), Young people towards solidarity and development - Jovesolides (Spain), Center of Arab Women for Training and Research – CAWTAR (Tunisia), and Palestinian Businesswomen Association – Asala (Patestine).
