The jury of the Lina Ben Mhenni Prize for freedom of expression, awarded by the Delegation of the European Union in Tunisia, announced, Tuesday, December 13, the list of winners of the third edition who are:
• First prize: Issa Ziadia
• Second prize: Sana Adouni
• Joint third prize: Mabrouka Khedir and Bahira Ouji

The jury considered that this session had a distinguished quantitative and qualitative participation. Choosing the winners was difficult due to the nature of the topics and the high professional level of the articles.

EU Ambassador Marcus Cornaro said that "It is this free, committed and quality journalism that we want to support with the Lina Prize", recalling "that freedom of expression and access to independent and reliable information are part of the bedrock of our democracies. Without them there is no real viable democratic life”.

The EU Delegation to Tunisia wishes to thank all the journalists who participated in this session and encourages them to participate in the next edition.

The Delegation expresses its gratitude to the members of the jury, Mesdames Assia Atrous, Olfa Belhassine and Henda Chennaoui and Messrs. Sadok Ben Mhenni and Larbi Chouikha (president).
